The victim was located near a residence in the area of 20th Avenue and Jefferson Street in Phoenix. He was a transient and friends new him as Victor.
A hospital release form for a man named Victor Gonzalez, date of birth 10-22-69, was found in his pocket, but police were not able to confirm that this man's name is Victor Gonzalez.
He died of substance abuse.
