Circumstances of Disappearance
Alyea left home on January 30, 1992 at approx. 8:30 a.m. with a large amount of cash. He told a neighbor he was going to Lamar, Mo. to meet someone around 1:30 p.m., but should be home by 6:30 p.m. He has a severe heart condition that require medication on a daily basis. Alyea left his medication and personal property at his residence. He did not return and has not been seen since. His vehicle was located in the parking lot of a motel in Fayetteville, Arkansas on November 1, 1992. Officials said the vehicle had been abandoned at least 1 month. Prior to his disappearance, Alyea was very close to his family and stayed in regular contact with them. He was depressed over his medical condition. He could have been going to Siloam Springs Arkansas. Foul play is suspected.
