The picture was found in the personal possessions of convicted killer, John Smith when he was arrested in California on October 3, 2000. Smith was convicted of killing his ex-wife Janice Hartman, who disappeared in 1974 from Wayne County, Ohio. In April 1980, skeletal remains were found near Morocco, Indiana, which were not identified as Hartman's until 2000. John Smith's second wife, Fran Gladden-Smith, also disappeared (from West Windsor Township, New Jersey Oct. 4, 1991) and has not been found. As of November 2011, this case is still active and will be profiled on the Discovery Channel program “On the Case with Paula Zahn” in January 2012.
