Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: 40-65 years old
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'2-5'8"
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: May have considered herself to be Hispanic. Possibly mixed Black or White/Hispanic/Native. Long, brown hair. Robust build. Probable osteoarthritis in all major joints. There is evidence of a healed, distal fracture to the right fibula.
  • Clothing: No clothing.
  • Jewelry: One teardrop, metal earring in left ear.
  • Dentals: Available. Extensive dental work. Body of sternum has a sternal foramen that is fused by a long ossified bridge to the xiphoid process. Mandible has a distinct bilobate mental eminence. The sacrum and os coxae have a secondary pair of articular facets at the level o #2- crown missing; #5- enamel worn through occlusal surface; #7,8,10- shovel shaped; #10- chipped corner; #24,25- heavy tartar buildup; #28- occlusal wear to dentine (corresponds to #5 wear).

Case History
The victim was located by a construction worker at SW 88th Street and 178th Avenue in Miami, Florida on November 22, 2004. The remains were in an advanced stage of decomposition, nude, and in a prone position.
