Circumstances of Discovery

In April of 1991 this female was found in a supine position in a field during the construction of the Factory Outlet stores in Vacaville, California. Her cause of death remains "undetermined" but her case has always been handled as a homicide, as she may have been asphyxiated or strangled.

The victim's dress was pushed up to her waist and no undergarments were found, indicating a possibility of sexual assault.

Police exhumed the body in December 1998 and enlisted Sunnyvale police Detective Kevin Richlin, an expert in rebuilding facial features from the skulls of the dead, to create a model police hope someone would recognize.
