Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: 36-45 years old
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'6"
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: The man had a deformity of his left collarbone. Extra bone had grown, creating an unusual bump.
  • Dentals: Upper four-tooth denture. The denture had been attached to his upper canines.
  • Clothing: None; however, a piece of denim material was recovered.


Case History
Divers repairing a houseboat's steel bottom found a metal box on August 14, 2003, beneath a Watson Island boat dock.
Three men were underwater doing work on a houseboat, which was sinking, when one man dropped a tool and dove farther underwater to get it. That's when he spotted the skull in an open and deteriorating metal box.
Partial skeletal remains were found near-by on the bottom of the ocean.
Remains recovered consist of: Skull, mandible (denture with central 4 incisors-2 on left and 2 on right). Right upper limb (humerus, radius, ulna, clavicle. Left upper limb (humerus, radius, ulna, clavicle (distorted at acromion-clavicular joint), scapula, one metacarpal bone and phalanx. Right lower limb (tibia, fibula, talus, three metatarsals. Left lower limb (femur, tibia, fibula, talus, one metatarsal. The fingers and toes were missing. The skull appeared to have a gunshot wound.
