Circumstances of Disappearance

On December 24, 1992, at the last minute, Peterson decided to not go to her parents' home in Lakeland, Florida. Peterson sent her children and told her mom that she would call her first thing Christmas morning. It has been reported that she has not been seen or heard from since Christmas Eve. She was last seen outside of a local bar on December 24, 1992.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement lists her last known address as Silver Springs, Florida and her date of last contact as January 6, 1993 but does not mention further information regarding this contact.
