Circumstances of Discovery

On 8/09/2003 human skeletal remains were found on Red Mountain by hikers. The cranium, mandible, some vertebrae, os coxa, sacrum, and ribs were recovered. The remains have not been identified at this time. Investigators believe the remains were washed down over time by spring runoff.
