Case History
The skeletal remains of the victim were located near the Lafayette Township of Elkhorn WI. The remains were recovered within one mile of the Alpine Valley Music Theater. The theater is an outdoor music venue which draws people from across the United States and other countries as well.
Forensic Anthropologist's findings concluded that "the remains represent those of an adult (40-55 years of age) male of Caucasian ancestry who sustained multiple blunt force trauma injuries to his head, ribs, pelvis and left leg. These high-energy injuries could have only been inflicted by a second person, although a vehicle-pedestrian accident cannot be ruled out.
At the time of death, the victim was suffering from an active systemic infection that had begun to affect bone. There is radiological evidence that he may have also been anemic. Evidence for earlier healed postcranial trauma has been noted because it may suggest a longer-term pattern of injury in this person's life."
