The victim fell from a rock formation in Euclid Creek Reservation in South Euclid, Ohio, and died from chest injuries. No ID on person.
Information from three males who spent some time with the victim stated that his first name was Joe, that he spent some time in New York, New Jersey, and Los Angeles, California. He was on his way to Los Angeles when he was robbed in Cleveland. The victim stated he had an appointment in Los Angeles on May 3 1981, was waiting for friends to bring him either money or tickets for fare.
He had a drinking problem and according to the three males, was a cocaine user.
