Circumstances of Discovery

This nearly complete skeleton was found in a wooded area off of Highway 191 near Shaw's Creek by timber planters on January 25, 1993. The area had been recently burned and the skeleton displayed charring consistent with post mortem fire damage.

Her murder may be related to several other unsolved cases of unidentified black women in Aiken County, including 7UFSC and Jackie Council, who remained unidentified until 1999. All three victims were located unclothed and were approximately one-half a mile from each other.

The imprisoned serial murderer Henry Louis Wallace has been questioned in each of their deaths, as he admitted to assaulting and murdering Black women in the South Carolina region in the early 1990's. Wallace admitted to killing eleven North Carolina women and one South Carolina female. He has not been charged in any of the Aiken County cases.
