Circumstances of Disappearance

Escalante was last seen in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 21, 1989. That evening, she attended a party in Dona Ana with a friend, and then went to an address at 5th Street and West Picacho Avenue in Las Cruces. Escalante left that address with a male coworker around midnight and went to his apartment on West Las Cruces Avenue. She was last seen running from the residence in the direction of Pioneer Park. She has never been seen or heard from again. She was possibly abducted.
