Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: 18-26
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'11"; 160 - 180 lbs.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Black hair. Long sideburns. Olive complexion. One arm was more tan than the other, he probably drove with his arm out the window. From the tanning he had worn a watch on his left wrist, but not watch was found. He was clean with less than 24 hour beard.
  • Clothing: He wore old blue jeans, Pro Wing sneakers and a black leather jacket with a fur-like collar. He also wore a pullover, velour, gray or purple shirt with reddish stripes.


Case History
The victim committed suicide and was found hanging in a tree off a trail in Carkeek Park. It is believed he lived in the area, because his clothes seemed fairly well-kept.

The rope was brand new; an over the count type. Investigators thought he bought his rope at a nearby store, but were unable to find the store.
