Circumstances of Discovery

Two men looking for places to set animal traps found skeletal remains about 14 feet off County Road 1200 North, 1/2 mile east of County Road 300 East, near a drainage ditch and creek.

Authorities believe the decedent was not from Shelby County, killed elsewhere, and his body dumped in the remote area he was found. He was not wearing shoes and his pants were pulled down below his pelvis.
