Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: 40 - 60 years old
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'4"; weight unknown.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Light or dark brown, wavy hair; dark eyes. She had a spinal operation. Spinal plates attached to the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae secured with pedicle screws. • Dentals: Available. Extensive and expensive dental work. Two fixed bridges, metal and porcelin crowns and a removable appliance. The expensive dental work probably means she wasn't a transient.
  • Clothing: A pair of blue jeans, West Park" shorts (size 16), "Partners" blue and white crop top (size medium), bra, tan "Hanes" underwear were found with the remains. There were no belongings with her and no jewelry.

Case History
A prison work crew found the victim's remains, already badly decomposed, just off the side of the road in the Big Cypress National Preserve, on south side of U.S. 41, West of Dade/Collier County boundary line, on April 3, 1990.
It isn't known how long she was dead, but she was killed by a blow to the head.
Because she was found in a well-traveled area, the woman might not be from the Southwest Florida area.
