The full-term infant's remains were recovered in a graveyard near the Free Church of Scotland on April 12, 2015 in Mount Albion, Prince Edward Island, Canada at about 2:30 PM. The body was wrapped in a towel.
Authorities were unable to determine whether the baby was delivered alive or stillborn and no signs of trauma were observed, although they noted the birth may have caused injuries to the mother. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
The child's DNA was successfully obtained but authorities were unable to make any matches to persons of interest in the case.
He is known as "Baby Albion." A $2,000 reward has been offered for information relating to the child or his parent's identities.
