Unidentified Asian Male
- Located on August 3, 1998 in the Fraser River, British Columbia, Canada.
Vital Statistics
- Estimated age: 30 - 40 years old
- Approximate Height and Weight: 5'10"; 150 lbs.
- Distinguishing Characteristics: Possibly of a mixed White/Asian descent. Dark hair. He had a healed nasal fracture.
- Clothing: A 1 ½ inch long wooden cross pendant, worn on a thin black cord around the neck. The cross was finished with varnish or laminate and was brown in colour and in good shape. A dark blue or black T-Shirt. A Purple and Yellow embossed logo Bugle Boy on the front of the shirt, printed in a circle, in the centre of the circle there is a design that consists of three triangles joined and coming together to a focal point in the middle of the circle. A two toned tan coloured, down winter jacket, mauve on the inside. Blue and green patterned jockey type underwear. Black and white pair of Reebok running shoes size 9 and in good condition. Black and white laces. Ikeda Classic blue denim jeans. Brown leather designer label on rear. Interior pant label indicating Marks and Spencer. Size 29. Also discovered was a black Papermate pen, and an opened package of Du-Maurier cigarettes.
Case History
On the 3rd of August, 1998 this victim was discovered floating in the Fraser River near the Alex Fraser Bridge. The body is believed to have been in the water for several months. A toxicology test revealed the presence of a lethal dose of drugs, possibly heroin. The profile of the victim and documents found with the body suggested that he may have spent time in the Downtown Eastside. Foul play has not been ruled out.
