Circumstances of Disappearance
Laxer was last seen in North Hollywood, California at her residence after confirmed arriving home from a doctor visit on August 21, 1997. Her vehicle was recovered abandoned in Hollywood Division shortly after her disappearance. Mrs. Laxer may be a patient of medical facility or be in the care of a board and care facility.
Laxer's disappearance could be connected to other disappearances that occured in Los Angeles from 1996 to 1997. Robert Black and Goldie Swanger both were last seen arriving home from the doctor in August 1997. Swanger's disappearance was solved in 2004, no further details concerning her case have been disclosed. Richard Davison left home to keep a medical appointment, but never arrived at the doctor's office.
The four persons aged from 57 to 72 all were Jewish and had the same doctor. None of them was described as as having Alzheimer's or other dementia problems nor prior histories of wandering,
