Classification: Involuntary

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance
On February 26, 1989, Lisa Geise disappeared from her Norcross office.

Someone had started a fire at the picture frame company where Lisa worked. The fire had triggered the company's sprinkler system. The sprinklers were not connected to a fire alarm, so the water had poured down for hours undetected. When employees had arrived that morning, the water was ankle deep. And by the desk of Lisa, the same spot where the fire was started, there was a pool of blood in the water.

Throughout the day, Gwinnett County Police had organized a massive search for Lisa. During that search they found Lisa's purse on the roof of a nearby building. Nothing was missing from the purse but the keys to Lisa's 1983 Nissan Pulsar. The vehicle was found parked a block away from the office building.

Detectives found a blood-smeared 10-pound doorstop discarded in the woods near the company. They also had found a cloth mail cart smeared with blood in the same woods. Faint blood stains were found on the door of a company van.
All the employees of Lisa's company, her fiance and her roommates, were rule out as suspects.

Lisa had been just weeks from her wedding day when she vanished. She had lived in Gwinnett County for about a year before she vanished. She is a native of Pensacola, FL.
