Circumstances of Disappearance
Ratte was last seen as she dropped her husband off for work in Prince George, British Columbia on the morning of August 18, 1997.
Then she simply vanished.
Her white Plymouth van was found in a parking lot at what is now Value Village. She has not been seen or heard from again.

There was some speculation that as a dual citizen, she may have voluntarily left the country for the United Sates, but nothing borne out in that direction, nor have police ruled out entirely the possibility of foul play.
