Ayton was last seen by his daughter in Tamworth, New South Wales at 10am on March 18, 1997. At the time he was standing outside his address speaking to an unknown male person.
Since this date he has failed to attend his place of employment, or attend to his stock or his property located in Tamworth. He has made no contact with family or friends since and there are concerns for his safety and welfare.
His bank account was last touched when he made a deposit on the day he disappeared.
