Circumstances of Disappearance
Bresson's last known address was a recreational vehicle parked at a campground near Why, Arizona, a tiny crossroads hamlet on the rugged Sonoran desert 30 miles north of the Mexican border.
No one immediately noticed when Bresson went missing, so it was left to his son, Chris, of Independence, Iowa to report him as missing to his local authorities on January 14, 1997.
Robert Bresson's girlfriend apparently returned to Nebraska, where Chris' stepbrother saw her at his high school graduation ceremony in 1999, but she hasn't offered any help with the mystery.
