Case History
On July 25, 1986, the victim was discovered near an abandoned strip mine just north of LR-33044, Washington Township in Jefferson County.
Victim's remains were lying face up approximately 20 to 30 feet east of the access road. The victim's skull was located approximately 5 to 10 feet north of the torso.
The entire right hand was missing as were the fingers on the left hand.
Evidence at the scene indicated that the body was brought to the site after death. Several pieces of burned material were found near the head area of the remains. A piece of electrical wire was found around the neck area of the skeleton.
