Circumstances of Disappearance
Deese was last seen boating in Lake Tahoe on August 29, 1996.
A boat adrift on Lake Tahoe was a mystery for Placer County sheriff's deputies. The Coast Guard found the boat floating in 1,000-foot-deep water. It had been rented by Brian Deese of Texas.
Deputies could not find Deese after an extensive search of the water around the boat.
