Circumstances of Discovery

The victim was located by hunters in a ravine northeast of Clovis, off Academy Avenue north of Herndon Avenue.

The cause of death is not known, but investigators have little doubt that the woman was the victim of foul play.

A white, button-down blouse with a blue design was the only piece of clothing found on the body. Searchers combed the area, but failed to find any other clothing or clues to the woman's identity.

Because of the condition of the body, investigators were unable to check for fingerprints.
