  • Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 5'6; 150 pounds
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: White male. Brown hair; green eyes.
  • Marks, Scars: Unknown tattoos on his arms. One possibly of his name, Mervin
  • Medical Conditions: Facial injuries that required extensive facial surgery. Fractures to nose, eye and cheek area that required wire and plastic to repair them.
  • Dentals: Upper Denture.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Mervin Walvatne was reported missing on December 16, 1990, by his sister who lives in Spencer, Iowa. She became concerned when she had no contact with him since July 18, 1990. Prior to that time she had regular phone contact with Mervin who was living in Arizona.

Mr. Walvatne was described as an alcoholic transient. His last places of residence were in the Yuma/Tuscan, AZ area. In the late 1970’s he also resided in the Madison, WI area, during this time he was involved in a car accident that required extensive facial surgery.
