Circumstances of Disappearance
Friends of Marcus Allcorn arranged a birthday party for him at the Imperial Hotel on Oxford Street, where he worked as a trainee manager and lived. He was also studying hospitality at the time.
Allcorn never arrived for the celebration and has not been seen since. He was last seen at 01.00 on the morning of his birthday, January 29, 1980. He’d just finished his night shift and was looking forward to the 21st birthday celebration that was scheduled that evening. Allcorn was reported missing after his brother and mother, who had traveled from the country for the party, could not find him.
He had a close network of friends and his disappearance was out of character.
Foul play is suspected.
