• Medical: Doug was taking Lithium after a motorcycle accident that left him with a chemical imbalance.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Meer was last seen in Boulder, Colorado on June 1983. Doug left the Boulder area to vacation in Las Vegas. He was a Colorado University Student and an employee of King Supper. He was going on vacation after recieving money from a deceased relative. Before leaving he paid several months on rent and truck (late model datsun) payments in advance.
He called family just after Easter in 1983 to ask his mother to wire him money to the Baja CA area where the family knows he recieved it through Western Union. His vehicle was found in Mexico (possibly Ensinada) just over the border of CA in June of 1983 with all possessions inside including a full bottle of his lithium. His dog Pepper was also missing but the dog food for the dog was also found in truck.
He was declared dead 7 years later and has never been found.
