Engstrom, circa 1994

Jayme Lynn Engstrom
Missing since February 20, 1994 from Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida.
Classification: Endangered Missing

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance
Engstrom, a mother of twins, was last seen at 08:43 PM on February 20, 1994 in the 1300 block of Cleveland Street in Clearwater. The Clearwater Police stopped her for walking in the middle of the street.
Engstrom's criminal record includes arrests for prostitution, soliciting for a lewd act, possession of drugs and theft. She was arrested in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts for prostitution. Locally, she worked alongside and stayed with people who lived near N Fort Harrison Avenue.
Engstrom's criminal record abruptly stops in February 1994. For a woman frequently arrested on drug, prostitution and theft charges, it seems odd, authorities believe she fits the profile of other prostitutes who have been murdered.
Engstrom disappeared about six months before Ladonna Jean Steller was killed. Steller was the first of four Clearwater prostitutes who detectives think may have been murdered by a serial killer.
She called her family two or three times a month. She has not telephoned her mother or seen her children since Jan. 7, 1994.
Her mother reported Engstrom missing Dec. 29, 1995. She told detectives that she last saw her when she took her to get a driver's license. That was in January 1994.
She has ties to Mckeesport, PA, Philadelphia, PA and West Springfield, MA areas.
Foul play is suspected
