Circumstances of Disappearance
DeLano went elk hunting in the East Humptulips area. He was wearing red plaid jacket, black jeans, and tennis shoes. He was armed with an unknown brand .270 caliber rifle. He did not return home and a search was conducted where he parked his vehicle with negative results.
DeLano had suffered a nervous breakdown the previous year. He had a felony warrant for his arrest at the time. He has relatives in Canada, and may have disappeared intentionally.
