Circumstances of Disappearance
Warner,an art student, disappeared with her son, Nicholas Vincent Smith from their Las Cruces, New Mexico residence on February 23, 1991. Everyone of her friends and family said she adored Andrew and never would have left him. They've been gone since February 23, when they walked out of their home in student housing at the New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
Her husband, Henry Warner filed a missing persons report seven days later. He told police the couple had been having marital problems and that his wife told him she and Nicholas, her son from a previous marriage, were going to stay with a friend. They left their home by foot the day they disappeared. Warner left behind her car and 3-year-old son, Andrew. She took almost $1,000 in cash and $10,000 in gold coins.
According to family and friends this is very uncharacteristical of her. Neither has been seen or heard from again. There are concerns for their safety.
There has been no activity on their Social Security numbers, no request for school records.

2008- The Doņa Ana County Sheriff's Department's cold case unit concluded digging at a site on the NMSU campus where a mother and son were last seen, no further evidence was found.
