  • Medical: Analysis revealed that the man suffered from fractures to several body parts during the course of his life including the chest, left arm, and left leg. His nose was broken and may have appeared crooked. His left hand was injured and may have affected its use and mobility. Fractures to the neck and lower back likely caused chronic pain and mobility problems. Finally, his left leg was shorter than his right which caused the man to walk with a distorted gait.

Case History
In January a woman discovered a human bone while cleaning her yard and believed that her dog must have retrieved the bone from someplace on the land surrounding her property. The woman told law enforcement officers that she had recently found other bones in her yard but believed they were animal. More than two years later, her husband was walking through the nearby woods when he located a tent between some bushes. As he walked closer to the tent, he found additional remains, believing that this was linked to those found earlier.

On January 2nd, 2006, deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office located the remains of a man off of Highway 674, approximately ½ mile west of Interstate 75 in Ruskin, Florida. Additional evidence was found on a wooded lot in an orange camping tent with black trim on November 19th, 2008. The identity of the man remains unknown.
