On November 17, 2008, Nicola Sallese was seen driving east on Sheffield Main Road, travelling away from Sheffield towards the Bridle Track Road intersection between 1 and 2pm.
About 7 p.m. that day, an interstate tourist spoke to a man matching Nicola's description at Southport in the state's south, more than 300km away. The tourist stated the man was asking for directions to Seven Mile Beach.
Neither Nicola nor his silver 2006 Toyota Camry with registration plate FH 2973 have been seen since.
