Kevin, originally from Fleetwood, Lancashire, had moved to the tourist area of Playa de las Americas in Tenerife, three months before he disappeared. He worked as a promoter, handing out leaflets for a bar named the Sportsman in an area known as "The Patch".
Around 6 a.m. on June 13, 2004, it is believed Kevin was involved in an altercation with an unknown number of door staff at the Cafe Del Moar. Kevin leaves the venue in the direction of the Altamar Apartments where he was staying. Later he visited bars and clubs with a friend. At around noon, he and his flatmate went to eat at Merlins, a Chinese buffet restaurant. The last positive sighting of Kevin was of him walking alone in the direction of the Sportsman.
The next day, Kevin failed to turn up for work. His passport and belongings were later found in his apartment.
Despite a Spanish investigation and a Lancashire Police review of his case, no conclusive information has been found. His family and friends have not heard from him since his disappearance.
