Edward went fishing in the North Sea in a 28-foot-long coble named Bonny Lass on January 18, 2006. He left Hartlepool dock at 11:05 a.m. to go fishing. It was found adrift in open sea, 14 miles east of Hartlepool at 12:30 p.m. the next day. The engines were still running and everything on board was shipshape but there has been no trace of Edward.
