On Monday 16th February 1998 Gerry left his home at Clonkeen Road, Deansgrange. He was last seen at 6pm that evening. He has been missing before. On one occasion Gerard was found sleeping rough in Central London and in August 1997 Gerard fell into the Thames but was saved by a Police boat that happened to spot him. Gerard was a student at Luton Campus, University of Bedfordshire (UK) several years ago. Before he disappeared, Gerard had been working in a Youth Club in Co Wicklow. Gerard loves reading and likes to spend a lot of time in the Library. He also used to enjoy hurling, tennis, and football. His family travelled several times to London to find him. Interpol and a private detective have been also involved.
