The circumstances of Guastini's disappearance suggests that he may have committed suicide, but the case has never been solved. May 27, 1990 Loriano walked out of his house around 21.00, to go to a bar. Around 22.00, his car was seen parked by the lake of Suviana. The next morning the car was still there. Several witnesses claims to have seen him in the area during the evening. According to some testimonies Loriano was seen with two unknown persons. The searches did not give any result. In 1990 someone searched Loriano's apartment without stealing anything. The only traces left of Loriano are the objects found on the seat of his car: his wallet, his driver's license, the keys to his apartment and 170.000 Liras. The only thing missing was the picture of his nephew which Loriano always carried with him.
