Mandy Schmidt is missing since Saturday, 11 April 1998, from Halle an der Saale, Germany.
That day Mandy left her home without telling her parents where she was going. That morning she met a female friend at around 14.00, on Merseburger Strasse, at the corner, the two girls took a tram and got off two stops later at Damaschkestrasse.
There Mandy got into the car (red Opel Kadett Kombi) of a male acquaintance. He later said he dropped her off at 14.15, near an Italian restaurant on Diesterwegstrasse. That was the last time she was seen. Police later found out that one day before she disappeared, Mandy had sexual relations with that male acquaintance.
