Lazzari, a medical assistant, was last seen at about 19.15 on March 2, 1992. She was driving back to her residence in Calmont after visiting her parents in Montréjeau, France.
Her car was located, out of gas, the following day on a small road in St Gaudens. According to a witness, Lazzari asked for directions to the closest gas station, another witness declared to have seen her later entering an unidentified car. It is possible that she was the victim of serial killer Patrice Alègre .
