Carl Erik Bjorkegren was last seen on June 2, 1994, at his home in Helsingborg, by his butler. He was going to visit his attorney in Stockholm that day, but never arrived.
There has been speculation that Bjorkegren left of his own free will and there has been sightings of him in different places around the world. None of the sightings have been substantiated.
Bjorkegren dealt with stocks and real estate at a high financial level during the 80's. He went in personal bankruptcy in 1991 and had large debts. He is a father of five.
The days before his disappearance he told his family that he felt threatened and watched.
An homicide investigation was opened in 1996. He was declared legally dead in 2004. Foul play is suspected.
