On December 14, 1991, just after mid day, Nicola left her boyfriend's house in Winston Avenue, Wood End, Coventry to the home she shared with her 7-month-old son and her parents in Woodway Close, Woodway Park. It is a distance of about half a mile and Nicola took the short cut across playing fields, known locally as the Black Pad . The walk should have taken only about six minutes.
Nicola never arrived and has not been seen since.
Nicola was moving in with her boyfriend at the time, and was supposed to go out to pick up clothes for their seven-month-old son at her parent's house.
2007 West Midlands Police arrested a 37-year-old man for her murder.
