Slavich and her husband had just spent the weekend in their house located near Lake Iseo. Her husband was to stay there one more day but Slavich had decided to go back to Milan where her daughter was waiting for her.
She was supposed to take the 3.50 pm train. Investigation revealed that she didn’t buy a ticket in the railway station. No one remembers to have seen her there. The railway police found her handbag in the waiting room next to the track 2 where the train to Milan was supposed to leave. Her billfold, still containing her id card was found in a mailbag with the February 14 mail from Brescia. It had been one month in a police office before the police sent it to the family by mail.
