A passer-by found the body of an unknown woman around noon on Saturday 22 June in a meadow on the Sint Anthoniekade and warned the police. The place where the victim was found is a few meters from the border with Belgium, which is why the investigation team is also in contact with the Belgian police for the exchange of information. Given the injuries to the woman's body, the police assume a crime. She was probably shot elsewhere and laid in a meadow, just on the Dutch-Belgian border. The woman had been dead for a few days then.
