At 18.55 the child was still there, at 19.00 he had vanished. Salvatore's father only heard his voice screaming " Papà! Papà! ". When he came to the road, he only saw a white Maggiolino Volkswagen, with two elderly persons in it stop a moment and then leave. A special unit for search and rescue of missing persons inspected the whole area, but without any result. In the following days, some telephone calls arrived at the Marino house in which a man and a woman asked Salvatore's mother if she missed her son. Since then nothing has been heard from Salvatore.
