His track was lost along the short path from a small street in town, where he had just ended a soccer match with his friends. The last time Pasquale was seen seems to be at about half past eleven, while he was sitting on a bench at the corner of Via Tevere and Via Arno. At that time, Pasquale was expected to be home for lunch. Searches started in the evening, and continued without interruption during the night and in the following days, but no trace of the boy could be found. It seems that two suspicious cars, a white Lancia Beta and a metal grey Alfa Sud, were noticed near the boy's house the days before he disappeared. It is not known if the cars had anything to do with Pasquale's disappearance.
