Circumstances of Disappearance
Nancy was abducted by her father from Germany, during the night of April 20, 1997. The parents had been separated since March 17, 1997. Both are Portuguese citizens. The custody was given to the mother.
On May 12, 1997 the father called the mother and told her that he was getting new documents of identification for Nancy. And that he was to leave Germany.
Nancy's mother assumes her ex-husband keeps their daughter hidden in Portugal or Brazil.
