Circumstances of Disappearance
Harold Edward Holt was last seen in Point Nepean, Australia on December 17, 1967.
Holt was the 17th Prime Minister of Australia from January 20, 1966 to his presumed death in 1967. He went swimming at Chevoit Beach on Point Nepean near the holiday resort of Portsea, south of Melbourne. He jumped into the heavy surf despite a recent shoulder injury and vanished from view.
