Circumstances of Disappearance
Sarnek was last seen at her home at 84 Franklin Street, George Town, Tasmania on August 22, 1975. Her coat and purse we left behind.
She was reported missing by her husband.
Sarnek has 3 children and had migrated to Tasmania from England 8 years prior to her disappearance.
Enquiries were made locally, interstate and internationally but all efforts proved unsuccessful. Police received a few sightings of Sarnek on the Bass Highway and there were suggestions she might have been going to catch a ship. There were suggestions she might have gone back to England.
