• Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 6'1", 185 cm
• Distinguishing Characteristics: White male. Dark brown hair; possible brown eyes. Heavy eyebrows. Small scar on his forehead by the hair line and between nose and lips, he has a small vertical scar. Flattened left thumb nail. No previous fractures.
• Dental: Repaired chipped front tooth.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Rive left his home in 1993. He took only his passport with him. A few days after his disappearance his parents received an empty envelope with a postmark from Antwerp, Belgium. He told his parents he would move abroad. Showed an interest in the foreign legion.
