The Doe Network www.doenetwork.org is pleased to inform all media that we
have provided
assistiance in solving the case of a teen missing since 1976.
Tracie Fleischhut, a member of The Doe Networks Administrative Team, was
contacted by a Pennsylvania state trooper regarding a possible match
between an unidentified girl in Pennslyvania and Laurie Davern, a
missing Grand Island,NY teen. Mrs. Fleischhut, in response to the state
troopers request for more information on
Laurie Davern, contacted The New York State Police office in Niagara
Falls,NY.
Although Lauries' file could not be located immediately, Mrs.Fleischhut
maintained contact for over 6 months with both departments in a search
for the information
needed to do a comparison.
In April 2003 , Mrs. Fleischhut was notified by a family member of
Lauries' that she was located safe and sound.
Her family thanks the Doe Network & Tracie Fleischhut for dilagently
looking for their missing loved one and keeping
a case alive after so many years. Laurie and her family now wish for
privacy so they may reconnect and
develop a relationship.
The Doe Network is excited about such a wonderful outcome for this case
and is pleased that it could offer the
assistiance in finding Laurie after so many years.
